I went to the first DNDb webinar last year where they gave us a tour of the site and how they found out about us. The site is really easy to use. I honestly thought it would be a lot like MyDNDb.com. (I know, I know. But the original DNDb.com is gone now, and I wasn’t very happy when I found out that I’d been tricked into buying a book there.
At the moment, dndb is very popular and has over 1,000,000 visitors per month. The more I think about it, the better I like the idea of being able to find out a little bit about what you really are, the stuff you do, and the stuff you are really afraid of. Not to mention the privacy aspect of keeping all of that stuff secret.
DNDb is a game. A game that allows you to do things that are so weird, you actually become scared of doing them. DNDb has some of the most popular players in the game; we all know the guy who’s always getting up to play DNDb, which I’ve always found rather dull. DNDb would be great for people who like to try out things in a new way in public.
