When I’m not making money from my writing I use my time to research and learn new skills. I’ve found I’m more effective and productive when I utilize my time better. The more time I spend in my life, the better I am.
That’s because time allows us to learn, apply, and master skills or make progress. We use our time to master the skills we use day in and day out. We learn new things through practice and repetition.
The more time we invest in our lives, the less time we spend doing something we don’t find useful. Our brains are wired to reward us for doing things we find important, whether that is learning a new skill or acquiring knowledge. If we stop spending our time on things we don’t find important, we stop developing new skills and we’ll stop growing.
You probably have a pretty good idea of how much time you spend on things you find useless. You probably know that you spend most of your time on things you dont find useful. You know that you have no idea what time it is when you go to sleep, or when you wake up, or how much time you have before you run out of energy. You have no idea if you are spending enough time on things you find important.
A lot of people like to point out that you can learn a lot of things about a topic by just looking at a list of people who know the topic well. Well, that’s true, but we’re not interested in that. In fact, we know that you can learn a lot by just looking at a list of people who do things the same way you do. That’s what we want to know.
