Some of the greatest acts in all of human history have been those that give to others. The work of social justice movements and the struggles of the civil rights movement are just two examples of this. It’s not just individual acts of kindness that are the foundation of these movements. Those who are most in need, those who are most vulnerable, have benefited from these acts.
So what would happen if, in the wake of the civil rights movement, we took a long hard look at our own acts of kindness, and decided that to be one of the most charitable people in the world is to treat others as you would wish to be treated? Or, as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put it, “We don’t have to look far to find people who are more interested in doing good than the others. We just have to choose to do good ourselves.
In The Tribe, we are part of the tribe. In the Tribe, we are not just good people, but good people who put other people’s good before our own. We are a bunch of good people who have good ideas and good deeds. We are a tribe of Good People.
The “good idea” in The Tribe is that of a tribe of hunters, warriors and explorers. Each of these tribes are distinct but united by the concept that, if someone attacks them, they are all in danger. When their enemies are attacking them at the same time, they can be attacked by all of them. This makes the game a bit like a multiplayer game, in that you can attack other tribes simultaneously.
While this concept of a tribe of good people being united in battle is rather simplistic, it does make for a very real sense. You could easily be attacked by your own tribe of friends. This makes being an effective tribe of Good People a bit more difficult.
In reality, in the real world, tribes of good people don’t really get along too well. The “tribal” part of the name implies they should, but the reality is that there are always going to be some major differences of opinion or even war, between good people.
The problem is that the tribe of Good People is a bit of a misnomer. In reality, there are only two tribes of Good People, the ones that are always at war with each other.
